•      Brings world-renowned scientists to Sitka to share their current research on North Pacific marine wildlife with students, teachers, residents and visitors at the symposium during the WhaleFest weekend:

•      Provides a stimulating variety of marine related activities such as, whale watching cruises, concerts, art exhibits, marine themed market, 10k Run/5k Walk, and more;

•     Supports marine mammal research in Alaska waters;

•   Encourages visitors to come to Sitka in November to help support our community.
