Lifelong Alaska resident. Sitka Tribe member, Chairman Indigenous Peoples Council for Marine Mammals (ipcomm), Trustee Sealaska Heritage Institute, AOOS Board of directors. Previous positions: North Pacific Research Board, Alaska Scientific Review Group, Sitka Tribal Council, SEARHC Board, numerous Ocean policy and research committees/forums for 25 years.
