Pacific Herring: Past and Present
About the Speaker
Eleni studies the ecology and evolution of marine organisms using genetics. She also investigates how humans have used marine resources over long periods of time using ancient DNA. Eleni is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Washington, where she is working on a project with the Sitka Tribe of Alaska to investigate the population structure of Pacific herring. Eleni has Ph.D. and M.S. from the University of Washington, and a B.S. from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
